Video Lesson:
Name: Kylee Peterson
Lesson Title: Lights, Camera, Action!
Grade Level: 9th Grade
Subject: Theatre
Curriculum Goal: Goal 3.1: Utilize concepts essential to theatre.
Learning Objectives: 6-8.T.3.1.2: Vary movements and vocal qualities to convey an
interpretation of a character
Equipment Needed/Materials:
Handout on elements of theatrical productions, video camera, computer or mp3 player for
music, lights, and props of the students choosing. A computer with access to Internet and a
program such as Movie Maker or iMovie is also essential.
Lesson Summary:
Students will form groups in which they write and rehearse a short theatrical scene
(approximately 1-2 minutes long). They will then record the scene several times, each time
varying movement or voice to change the mood or tone of the character being
portrayed. The students will then analyze how each of these changes affects the character
interpretation. The video productions will be uploaded to the class YouTube channel so that
classmates can view and comment.
Integration of Technology:
Students will use cameras and computers to create and edit their performances. They will
learn how to navigate video editing programs and upload their finished product to YouTube in
order to share their new-found technological skills.

Word Processing Lesson:

Lesson Title: Intro to P.E.
Grade Level: K-2
Subject: P.E.
Curriculum Goal: 1.1 Demonstrate competency in motor skills and movement
patterns needed to perform a variety of physical activities.
Learning Objectives: Achieve mature forms in the basic locomotor skills (e.g.,
walking, running, skipping, etc.) and vary the manner in which these skills are
performed during changing conditions and expectations (e.g., levels, speeds,
pathways, relationships, and effort).
Equipment Needed/Materials:
Tennis shoes, water bottle, gym clothes, color tags and students to play the
game
Lesson Summary: Have students play games in which they run, slow pace, stop
to determine students motor skill levels, description of the game: 4 students in
the middle of the gym assigned a color if their color is called they must run to
other side of gym
Integration of Technology: Have students use word processing to keep track
of how many games they played and how many games they were caught using a
table. This table would determine the efficiency of the students and the student
with the best efficiency would win a prize.

Spreadsheets Lesson:
Lesson Title: Sweet Skittle Graphs
Grade Level: 1st Grade
Subject: Math
Curriculum Goal: Building fluency with addition and subtraction
Learning Objectives: Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for
addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making
ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a
ten (e.g., 13 4 = 13 3 1 = 10 1 = 9); using the relationship between
addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 8 = 4);
and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating
the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).
Equipment Needed/Materials:
10 Packs of Skittle Candies, A computer with excel, Pencil, Paper
Lesson Summary:
Students will count the number of each color in their pack of Skittles. They will
then record the data on an excel spreadsheet. They will compare and contrast
the contest of several bags using addition and subtraction.
Integration of Technology:

We will be using excel and some of its basic functions to

gather data for the assignment.

PowerPoint Presentation Lesson:

Lesson Title: Exploration of the World
Grade Level: 2nd Grade
Subject: Geography
Curriculum Goal: 2.4: Analyze the human and physical characteristics
of different places and regions.
Learning Objectives: 2.SS.2.2.1 Compare how environmental
conditions affect living styles and clothing in different parts of the
country.
Equipment Needed/Materials:
Computer, PowerPoint, Internet.
Lesson Summary:
Students will prepare a PowerPoint presentation showing their
understanding of life styles from a place in the world of their choosing.
They will need to show the clothing styles, and environmental
differences of the place. They need to insert images, and text that
show understanding of their topic.
Integration of Technology:
Students will need to show their understanding by making a
PowerPoint presentation.
