Assignment 1: Machining process and features

1. Define all range of cutting tools for milling and lathe. Describe their characteristic and
applications.
2. Define various milling (at least 12) and turning (at least 7) machining processes. Provide graphic
example of the processes. Justify the significant of each process in manufacturing engineering.

3. Define various machining features such as hole for bushing, slot for keyways, and groove for Oring. Please also provide justification that need to take into account in machining such features.
4. Describe various type of fastener and machining process to fit those fastener
