Brief Description

On the first day, students will complete a

pre-assessment with a focus on the
basics of trigonometry to see what they
learned/remember from 20-1. This will
take the form of a quick quiz where
0%
students will work individually and then
be able to talk to one another. This will
either confirm that I am ok to start the
unit, or it will direct me to topics that I
need to address first.
The exit slip will be used for for learning
because it will be used as a tool to gauge
where the particular student needs help
and where the next lesson should head.
It is assessment as learning since I am
asking students to reflect on what they
do not understanding and writing that
question down for me.
Quiz 1 will look at ch4 9including,
converting, arc lengths, unit circle, and
trig ratios.) Quiz 2 will focus on graphing
2X
sin, cos, and tan and the equation and
15
translation of sin/cos). Quiz three will
%
look at proofs. Quiz 4 focuses on solving
=
trig equations. It is assessment for
60
learning because they will be used to
%
direct review before the unit test. It is
assessment of learning though because
there will be a grade attached to it.
Students will fill out worksheets and
answer questions to the best of their
ability (nearly daily). These will be used
to assess the students formatively
0%
through for learning. These will show
what the students have learned and what
they are unclear on to direct the next
lesson.
Observations will be noted in the form of
0%
anecdotal notes for each individual
student. Struggling students will have
more detailed notes and will be closely
observed. This is assessment for
learning because these notes will also
help to determine the remainder of
current lesson and the lesson next day.

Unit Review. Students will be in pairs, and

there will be 10 different stations (2 of
each station). Students will have a Math
Passport, and complete the centers in
their partners. Answer key will be given to
students as they leave to study for their
Unit Exam. This is assessment for
because it will show which type of
questions students struggle the most with
will direct the following review lesson the
next day.
The Unit Exam will complete a Unit Exam
that focuses on key concepts from the
chapter. Students will have the entire
class to finish the exam.
