meters.Thenecessityofusingconsistentunitsinaproblemoftenforcesyoutoconvertsomeunitsfromthegiven
systemintothesystemthatyouwanttousefortheproblem.
Thekeytounitconversionistomultiply(ordivide)byaratioofdifferentunitsthatequalsone.Thisworksbecause
multiplyinganyquantitybyonedoesn'tchangeit.Toillustratewithlength,ifyouknowthat1 inch = 2.54 cm,you
