Grades 10 Placement (6 wks), Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School, Courtice, ON
Courses taught were Gr. 10 History Academic/Applied and Grade 10 Boys Physical
Education.
Coached junior girls soccer and assisted with track and field.
Took part in a collaborative learning with teachers on staff which involved
instructional rounds on assessment for learning. The focus was on co-constructing
learning goals, success criteria and marking schemes with students.
Taught 100% of classes.
Grades 9-12 Placement (5 wks), Paul Dwyer Catholic High School, Oshawa ON,
Nov/Dec 2014
Courses taught were Gr. 9/10 Physical Education, Gr. 9/10 Health and Gr. 12 Exercise
Science. Incorporated technology into lessons to enhance student learning.
Thinking games for understanding were incorporated into physical education classes
to make student learning more inclusive.
Attended a Co-curricular school trip with the Exercise Science class to Waterloo
University, where students were given hands on experience in Kinesiology careers.
Coached the varsity girls hockey team, chaperoned for ski/snowboard club.

Taught up to 80% of the day.

Whitby ON, Oct 2014/Volunteered Nov 2014
Responsible for assessing student participation and development of specific skills.
Contributed to school extracurricular activities by coaching the schools junior co-ed
soccer team.
Taught up to 90% of the day.

Volunteered in the SERT and Associated Classes, assisted in the Levelled


Literacy Intervention program.
Worked with students with ASD helping them develop life skills and gross motor
movement. Smart board technology and other visual aids were used to develop
students communication abilities.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Project Assistant in Kids Got SOLE, Coronation Public School, Oshawa ON, 2013
Responsible for planning and implementing a program called Kids Got SOLE
(Self Organized Learning Environment) in a grade four classroom at Coronation
Elementary School.
Took a lead role in the development of an educational project with the goal being
to create a form of learning where the students taught themselves.
Presented students with research databases such as Google + to facilitate this
program. Developed my presentation, technology and multimedia skills.
Volunteer/Coach Paul Dwyer Catholic High School, Oshawa ON, 2010-2014
Worked in grades 10 to 12 Physical Education, French and Italian classes.
Assessed students learning styles and helped the teacher create lesson plans to
support the individual needs of each student.
Collaborated with teacher to determine learning goals for students with learning
disabilities and multiple intelligences.
Assistant coach for the senior soccer teams.
