studentscouldplacethingsthattheydidntthinkwentintoeitherthecondensationorevaporationeventhough
theyallwentintooneofthosetwocolumns.Icanusethisassessmentdatatoreflectonifthislessonwas
effectiveornot.Lookingatthestudentsformativeassessmentsafterthelesson.Icouldtellthatalotofstudents
wereconfusedaboutwhateachofthemwere.Ihadusedthislessonasakindofexploringactivitysothat
studentswouldbeslowlyfiguringoutwhatevaporationandcondensationis.Iinitiallydidntplanongivingthe
studentsthedefinitionofcondensationandevaporationuntilafterthelittlescavengerhunt,butwhenItoldthe
studentswhattheyweredoingallofthemwereconfusedandraisingtheirhandswonderingwhateachofthem
was.Ithengavethestudentsthedefinitionsofthewordsandthathelpedthemtofigureitout.Ireallywould
switchthislessonandthesecondlessonaroundsothatstudentsknowwhatthewordsmeantandthencoulduse
thatinformationtofindtheexamplesofit.Ialsohadtoteachthestudentsinadifferentclassroombecausethey
rotateforscience.Whenrotatingandbeinginadifferentclassroomwithadifferentteacherthestudents
misbehavedalotmorethantheydowhentheyareintheirownclassroom.Duringthislessonwasthefirsttime
IreallyhadtostepinandshowstudentsthatIwasateacherjustlikemymentorteacher,andthatIdeservethe
sameamountofrespect.Isetagoaltoworkonmyclassroommanagementafterthislessonsincethestudents
weresocrazyduringthislesson.
