I am looking to fill the Position of a Registered Practical Nurse with your organization. I have
attached my resume for your viewing pleasure. I recently obtained my Diploma Practical Nursing from
Humber College ITAL. I possess academic background in Nursing, Project Management and Personal
Support Worker Certificates.
My academic background of Registered Practical Nursing incorporated both theory and over 800
hours of clinical experience in both the acute care setting and in the community. I am currently in the
process of getting registered with college of Nurses of Ontario. I gained much knowledge during my
clinical placement that enhanced my assessment and prioritization skill. I had clinical placements and
community service at both Sunnybrook Hospital (Veterans Complex Care Centre) and the Etobicoke
General Hospital (Respirology / Medicine Unit) and also at Villa Columbo (volunteered with the Activity
Department to socialize the senior residents).
I have over two years of experience as a Personal Support Worker having worked with two
agencies: Behaviorprise and First Health Care. With these two agencies I was opportune to work with
those with physical and mental challenges as a support worker, sitter and floor duty personnel. These
combined experience was used to my advantage during the course of my clinical practice on the field.
Through my clinical experience, I have developed a further competence and an in-depth knowledge
about caring for clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups. I have mastered the skills and
importance of timely documentation, in other to collaborate with other healthcare personnel.
During my clinical practice and interactions, I demonstrated being respectful to my colleagues,
clients and the set policy / protocol of the organization / agency as this helps me to establish
trustworthy relationships. I have exemplified good leadership abilities and unwavering dedication when
working with teams. I also have good communication skills, having provided first class client care to irate
Bell Mobility clients over 10 years to maintain their loyalty.
