CTA FAMILY NIGHT & TOWN HALL MEETING IS MONDAY, 4/27 STARTING @4:30!

Monday, April 27th Family Night &Town Hall Meeting: CTA families, stop in for a pulled pork meal, check out the K-8
presentations, pick up something at the MS Bake Sale, and then head to the auditorium at 6:00 for the Town Hall
Meeting! See the attached flyer for more information.
Challenge from Mr. George to K-6 students: If you bring your parent to the Town Hall Meeting, I will give both you and
your parent a CTA t-shirt! (T-shirts will be given to all parents who attend, regardless of their students grade level.)

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

ATTENTION 5th Grade Parents: You are invited to attend an informational meeting regarding the HIV/AIDS Health
Curriculum on Thursday, April 27th, from 4:00-4:30pm (prior to Family Night). By law, (380.1169) school districts are
required to provide instruction regarding dangerous communicable diseases, including HIV/AIDS, at least once a year at
every building (elementary, middle, and high school). The meeting will inform parents of the content regarding
communicable diseases that will be taught to their 5th graders in May.
Girls Charging Ahead 5K will be Monday, 5/18 after school. There is an informational meeting for family/parents of the
girls on Wednesday, April 29th right after practice in the EL building. 4:30-5:00.
National Honor Society (NHS) hours are due by April 30th.
Whitecaps Game Info: K-5 parents, please send in your WhiteCaps permission slips by May 1 to secure your spot for the
June 8th game! Thank you!
NHS Pine Street Clean-Up (from Main Street to White Creek Avenue): Week of May 11th more info coming. . .

ITEMS OF INTEREST

Barries House Food Pantry helping people in and around Montcalm County. They also have a free clothing pantry with
very nice second-hand clothes. Hours: Thursdays from 2:00-5:00pm.

CTA is participating in the Community Project Movers for Moms: a mission of giving back to mothers in need each
Mothers Day. A donation box will be placed in the entry way of the Elementary building. Donations will be accepted

FUNDRAISERS

CTA senior class is having their LAST Krispy Kreme doughnut sale of the year on Friday, May 8th.
Donuts will be available for purchase Friday morning, 5/8/15, from 7:10-7:40 a.m. in the cafeteria - $1 per donut or $5 for

6 donuts. If you would like to order a dozen (or more) and pick them up or have them sent home with your child, you may
do so by filling out the order form. Orders and money need to be turned in to Mrs. Atkins or Mrs. Dulak by Wednesday,
