Assisted lead researcher in a Motivation Lab at UT Austin
Video coded and worked with participants from different cultures and
backgrounds
Inputted data into Excel and scored paperwork
Study looked at determinants and development of motivation and the
relationship between motivation and academic achievement and
underachievement

Study also focused on how the provision and support for autonomy may
impact motivation

Educational Psychology Department Research Assistant, UT Austin


Assisted lead researcher in a Counseling Lab at UT Austin
Created vignettes used in study, experience running studies alone with
participants and with other research assistants
Helped correct and create study
Co-author of two research posters chosen to be presented in The Association
for Psychological Science Convention in San Francisco, California also
helped present these posters at convention
Study based on question of what makes certain people vulnerable to
becoming depressed
Study also focused on cognitive factors, biases in perception, interpretations
and memory that seem to characterize depression
Also participated in UTs Pre-Grad Internship for this research study
