Dear Judges,
How it must seem to you seeing a beings approach to a critical moment of their life. The passing
of High School has been quite expeditious, and at the same time valorous. I, myself, am but
another molecule of water floating along a seemingly endless stream in disarray. This school has
been a place of memories, both positive and negative, though I now feel that leaving it behind is
necessary. What distinguishes me from those others whom surround you are my intentions for
the future. What those intentions may be are clouded, coated in a permeable dusk that may only
be pierced by the illuminate mind. I can only hope that the events that follow my time here will
add fuel to the now blazing inferno of my mind. You may know that I, most importantly, seek
enlightenment above all other things. Enlightenment of both myself, and of the world around me.
Logistics, a strange topic for a philosopher? That, I consider myself, but lost in translation is the
original Latin meaning of the word philosopher. Philosophia, Latin for a love of wisdom. For
the love of wisdom, the mechanics that control our economy are falling apart. The knowledge of
how to organize business is becoming rare, and with its rarity comes construct chaos. My reason
for choosing this topic? I despise chaos, as within it festers a multitude of evils. Through my
research I have learned of Americas methods of economic organization, and further learned how
to take advantage of said methods. I have been made aware of the power of logistics, and how its
misuse can be even the largest entities downfall. In the future, I will strive to remain with my
assets organized.
Research is in every way just research. My obstacles were few considering my fathers
employment with UPS, and easy access to fairly hot topics. Accomplishments were many and
successful at little cost of effort. The projects effect, in all honesty, was of little benediction. A
coin will be a coin no matter how it may be flipped, and in the end the only difference between
one coin and another is the side it lands on. In that light I say that the project enhanced my ability
to construct more projects, but little beyond that.
I appreciate you taking the time of your day to grade the project of a weary High School student
such as myself. Your attention is of benefit to my future, and I can think of no better parting gift
than such said. To you, I say hold your heads high and walk a direct path. One day you might
even glimpse me soaring high above, and at that time I will be sure of where I will be heading
myself.
Sincerely,

Austen Goodyear
