A. Describe the Phase 1 Planning activities you would do to sue this lesson
in your classroom:
1. What is the relative advantage of using the technology(ies) in this lesson?
Since this particular lesson plan involves research, the advantage of using
technology is that my students would be able to use the internet to answer their
questions.
2. Reflect on, assess, and describe your Tech-PACK for this situation.

It is known that students

will use technology by
way of the internet.
The handouts and
instructions to give the
students is what is
known.
It is known that the
assignment is about
researching what it takes
to have good health.

The students will learn

what research websites to
use.
The purpose of allowing
students to research on
their own online will be
learned.
Students learn the
guidelines for being
active & eating right by
using a kid-friendly
website.

B. Describe the Phase 2 Implementation activities you would do to use this lesson
in your classroom:
1. What are the objectives of the lesson plan?
The objectives of the lesson plan are for the students to learn about the
recommended guidelines for physical activity, nutrition by researching a kidfriendly website that contains this information.
2. How will you assess your students accomplishment of the objectives?
I will grade their answers to the questions on the handouts for accuracy and give
each student a verbal quiz based on the questions of the lesson plans handout and
their own answers. If my reasoning, knowledge or answers from my own research
differ, Ill quiz them on that, too.
3. What integration strategies are used in this lesson plan?
Seeing as how this lesson plan is geared toward high school students, we can assume
that they are well aware of technology. I would plan to reserve our campus computer
lab for a day in order to integrate the internet into this assignment.
4. How would you prepare the learning environment?
I would spend the day before I give the assignment on an outside activity so that the
students can get the feel for being active and what is does for them.

C. Describe the Phase 3 Evaluation/Revision activities you would do to

use this lesson in your classroom:
1. How would you evaluate the success of this lesson in your classroom
in order to determine revision needs?
If the students found an abundance of good information on the subject of
good health and are able to influence not only me but themselves, no
revision would be necessary. If they all seemed to repeat each other or
simply not do the assignment to the best of their ability, I would revise
the way I prepared for the assignment. I would need to find another way
to engage them on the subject.

D. Add lesson descriptors Create descriptors for your new lesson.

If I had to add anything else to this lesson plan, I would change the
grade level it was geared toward. It is a simple assignment that I believe
6th-8th grade students could handle. Plus, it never hurts to teach children
the importance of good health earlier in life.
The descriptors that are on the current lesson plan are perfect as they
are.

The 21st century standards allow for a deeper understand of a subject
and engage students with real-world data and tools.
