PBL Task

Monica Marsing
Kaylin Lythall

Task:
40% of the food in America goes uneaten. That is 35 million tons of food
being thrown away each year. Armstrong Academy, as do other Granite
district schools, contributes to this waste. How much food goes to waste at
our school and other schools in the district? Why is there so much food waste
at Armstrong?

How much food does our school waste and what are some
solutions to this problem?
Process:
You need to select and set up an online collaborative tool (Links to an external
site.)
This tool will be used to compile information, ideas, etc., throughout the
process.

Consider the question, How much food does our school waste and what are some
solutions to this problem?

List additional topics related to the problem.

Following the 7 Rules of Brainstorming, your team will develop a list of questions related
to the topics listed during Step 2. On your collaborative document, brainstorm questions
related to those topics.

Organize questions from Step 3 and distribute the questions among team members.
Decide how the team will go about locating information that might answer the questions.
See the resources page for some online resources that may help you answer your
questions.
