To work in a restaurant setting to gain hands-on

experience and insight into the operations and effort
required to be a part of culinary staff prior to majoring in
Culinary Arts.
I am a freshman at the Culinary Institute of America for a
Bachelors Degree in Culinary Arts Management. Although
my Math skills are my highest academic achievement,
culinary arts have been my passion for over 10 years. In
2012, I have taken part in Johnson & Wales summer
programs. I hope to gain experience in a restaurant or
caf.

Unique Skills: Origami and

Balloon Twisting,

Work Ethic
I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to demonstrate
my work ethic to help a restaurant and kitchen staff and
will do whatever tasks are needed, including washing
dishes, busing tables, clean up, serving, and preparation
work. I am interested in farm to table restaurants and I
hope to own one in the future.
I have learned to work hard, not complain, and do what is
needed of me without fanfare in order to achieve the
desired outcome of the organization. I have been
commended for my work ethic by teachers and various
non-profit organizations where I have done volunteer work
for the past five years.
My family has raised me in a humble way, where we have
always hand washed all of the dishes, cleaned up with
various chores, and prepared meals and desserts using
fresh ingredients from participating in local Community
Supported Agriculture (CSA) and local butchers. My
familys Zucchini & Cinnamon Chip Muffins, Lasagna, and
Apple Pies are one of the many favorites with friends,
family and local charities. I enjoy the fast-paced team
efforts needed and have volunteered with my family to
make 27 of our not-so-secret apple pies from all fresh
ingredients in one afternoon with one oven for a local
battered womens shelter.
I hope for the chance to demonstrate my work ethic,
positive attitude and skills in your restaurant.
