Overview
Key Performance Indicators
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is a key for organizations understand how well they are
performing in relation to their strategic goals and objectives. It also involves the understanding
for stakeholders.

1. KPI CRBT REPORTS

The KPI CRBT reports into two parts:
The capacity: that is possible to monitor the capacity of the CBRT system, and
The Network Quality: that is possible to get the quality of the network in terms of calls.

Go to the <Performance> menu choosing the <Performance Monitoring>.

Expand the

correspondent parameter (CPU or Memory Ratio) and by right click in the corresponding area
choosing the option <Link to Monitor Result>(2) as the Figure below.

New windows will open, so we have to <Query the History Data>(1) to choose the Data
Setting(2). After choosing the Start and End date (for one day we choose from 00:00Hr to
23:00Hr) we <Query>(3) the data.

Right click, as showed bellow and save with filename < CPU_CCU_Usage.csv >

For Memory Ratio follow as the same but choose first <VAS_MEM> in <Performance>
<Performance Monitoring> menu. Save it with filename < VAS_MEM.csv >

Use the < CPUandMEM_UsageMACRO.xlsx > macro to get the data.

2.2.

NETWORK QUALITY
To the NETWORK QUALITY we get the ratio between Call Connected (times) and Call

Attempt (times) for all Movitel MSCs (MSMP01, MSNP01, MSNP02) to get the quality of all
Network. These parameters are:

Login to the HUAWEI URP Performance Management System and <Query the Task
Results>(2) from the < MSC_Direction >. Choose the Time type, Start and End Time, as
explained above.

Right click on the table to save it. Open the < crbtDIRECTION_MACRO.xlsx> file
and copy all sheet to the < CALL DIRECTION> worksheet tab. In the <CALCULO>
worksheet tab you can get the call direction for all MSCs.

2. KPI SMSC REPORTS

The KPI SMSC reports in Movitel are composed by two parts:

1.1.

The capacity: that is possible to monitor the capacity of the SMSC system, and
The Performance: that measures the system performance

CAPACITY

In the capacity we find five parameters:

MO (traffic in BH - SMS/second);
MT (traffic in BH - SMS/second);
CPU (%);
Memory Usage;
SMs in the cacheDeamon;
MO / MO license (%);

To get these parameters we go to the SMSC web interface accessed by address:
10.229.110.10:28080
In the tab <Report>(1) choose the <Service Type List>(2) Menu and then the <KPI
Report>(3).
In the KPI Report tag (4), we select the SMSC List, choose the statistic mode, the start
and end time and the rows per page, as showed in figure below.

As the result we get the table with the parameters:

In tab <Report> choose the <Service Type List>(1) Menu and then the <Total
Statistics Report>(2).
After select the SMSC, start and end times, choose the statistic mode as <Every 10

minutes>, as showed in figure below

As the result we get the table below, where we have to export and save it in the harddisk,
in the same folder as the MACRO file with name < Total_Statistics_Report.xls >

After that use the MACRO file to get the MO (traffic in BH - SMS/second) and MT
(traffic in BH - SMS/second). Dont forget to open the filename
Total_Statistics_Report.xls

PERFORMANCE
In the performance we find the parameters for MO and MT messages, where we can get

the total, the success, fail and errors.
