Megan trained staff in how to use the app and train the clinics administrative
Through her work, some of which was supported by a Dalai Lama Fellowship, Megan concluded
that there is a significant, unmet need for easily accessible, up-to-date information
on mental health service programs. She found the need to be especially acute among
the homeless population and people for whom English is not their primary language.
Now a Human Biology graduate with a concentration in Neurobiology, Megan will use her award
to create up-to-date online, mobile and printed maps of Bay Area mental health services, overlain
with public transportation routes. Inspired by Brute Lab's Project Open, these maps will focus
initially on San Francisco and Alameda Counties and will be designed for easy and regular
updating by mental health services providers. The information provided will include FAQs
addressing common misunderstandings and fears about mental health treatment.

hope when trying to help others, even if its a small act of service. Their all far
from selfish people, who no matter what will make a difference.

have but these three are very selfless in the way that they do care for people. Heroic is a
prime trait because it means theyll help at anytime they see a need. Empathetic because
they need empathy in order to feel the pull to make a difference. Smart, Confidence that
they can make a difference, Respectfulness, Humbleness, Trustworthiness, Willingness to
help, Passion, Optimist all make a good person to give back to the community or even the
world.
Patient- When volunteering you will come across people that are very different
from you and may not see things in the same sense, but patience is key.
Selfless- You have to see a need for others, before putting yourself first.
Empathetic- Being able to understand how others are feeling.
Generosity-Giving out of your own life, giving from your heart.
Friendliness- They have to be friendly in order to be liked by others that their
helping.

What is something you learned?
- That no matter if youre famous, well known, or a regular person you can make a big impact
in peoples lives and can make a significant difference.
