The Child Abuse Council annual spring conference focuses on
childrens health through the use of protective factors.

Friday, April 17, 2015, 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (breakfast and lunch provided)

Location:

North Central Michigan College, Petoskey


Conference Rooms 3 and 4 in the Student Center/Cafeteria

Audience:

Teachers, Nurses, Social Workers, Caregivers, Parents and anyone working


with children and families

Description: Participants will attend a keynote and 2 additional plenary sessions with
author, Charlie Appelstein, MSW. Break-out sessions by local community
professionals will also be offered. Detailed descriptions of each session are
available on-line and on the registration form. Attendees will have an
opportunity to earn Social Work CEs and Educator SCECHs. The conference is
recognized as nursing continuing education by the State of Michigan under
Rule 2(l) of LARA Continuing Education Requirements for Michigan Nurses.

Cost:

$55 (Save $10 if you register by March 15th)


Fee is waived for foster and teen parents. Char-Em personnel and any K-12
personnel within Char-Em ISD are sponsored by Char-Em ISD. Scholarships
offering a reduced registration rate are available by request by emailing
ChildAbuseCouncil@gmail.com.
