Multicultural Activities
Name of activity: Cultural Traditions
Goals: Learn about different cultural traditions. Create something to symbolize the assigned
culture. Be able to understand the culture more.
Grade level: 3rd or 4th
Subject: History
Description: The students would be assign a culture. Then the students will research their
assigned culture. They will need to research different traditions that the culture does for the
holidays. Then they will do a presentation about the information that they found. The students
will be required to create something that symbolizes that culture.
Rationale: This allow the students to learn about different cultures. It also allows them to
compare how the culture differs from their own.
Name of activity: Cultural activities
Goals: Students use creativity for a game. Have other students participate.
Grade level: 3rd

Subject: History/ English


Description: The students would divide up into teams. Then they could research the culture of
their choice. Then they would create a game that was about the culture. The students would come
up with the directions and have the other students participate in the game.
Rationale: This allows the students to be able to teach others about a certain cultural. They will
learn to be more creative.
Name of Activity: Cultural Influences
Goals: The students are required to create a PowerPoint. They give presentation of assigned
person.
Grade level: 3rd-5th
Subject: History/ English
Description: The students are assigned a person throughout the world who has influenced the
world today. The students will research the assigned person. They will create a PowerPoint of
them. They will also be required to create a homework assignment or quiz over the person who
was assigned to them.
Rationale: This allows the students a chance to teach the class about a variety of people who has
influenced the world today. They also can use their creativity for a PowerPoint and assignment.
