    Short long arms suspension (SLA) is a type of double wishbone suspension where the upper arm is shorter than the lower arm. It provides engineers more flexibility to tune the suspension and optimize wheel motion. SLA suspension creates positive camber gain on the inside wheel and negative camber gain on the outside wheel during a turn. While it has better dynamic characteristics, SLA also has bigger dimensions and requires stronger attachment points due to higher braking and cornering forces. SLA suspension is commonly used in the front of medium and large cars such as the Peugeot 407 and Mercedes Benz SL/SLS models.
