Ways to Represent/Organize Information

These strategies can be used to represent information related to any 1st through 3rd
grade math standard. Specific English standards related to these strategies are
listed below.
Flip book

English Standard 1.13 The student will write to communicate ideas for a variety of
purposes.
English Standard 2.11 The student will maintain legible printing and begin to make
the transition to cursive.

Portable Word Wall

Manila folders laminated together with pockets for each letter of the alphabet. Students Write
vocabulary words on index cards with definitions, pictures, and anything else they want to remind
them of what the word means. Then, they put it in the pocket for the letter that word starts with.

and connections on the left side of the notebook.
