USING CELL RANGE REFERENCES


In order to refer to a range of cells, you need to be able to read notations for this. When
referring to a range, you will use 2 cell references, the upper left cell and the lower right cell
in the range you want to highlight with a colon separating them: A1:C5 for instance, refers to
a range that starts in A1 and goes to C5. A range will ALWAYS be a rectangle.
Use the following sets of instructions to create pictures in Excel using cell ranges:

a. Click and hold the mouse button on the A column and drag to highlight over to the K
column (A:K)
