Analysis: This article gives a deeper understanding between humans and our advancement in
medical treatments. Reading it raises the question of how well off are humans not that vaccines,
treatments and better understanding of the human body are being developed and used. This

McQUire, Scott. Technology. Web. 26. March. 2015.

Scott McQuire of the University of Melbourne states Technology in the sense I have
begun to use here, referring no only to a particular machine or practical method but also to a
more general and interlocking system, is a relatively recent usage. In this piece of writing
McQuire explores the many uses of technology especially of how it is used today. He talks about
the increasing use of technology not just for work, but also in our social life and networks. He
also talks about the many different changes in thinking related to peoples views on technolofy
and our gradual change in culture to a more technology filled one.
Other quotes: The word (technology) derives from the Greek and Latin root techne meaning
art in the broad sense of skill.
In modern times, technological thresholds have frequently been used to designate particular eras
or historical periods.
The increased centrality of technology became evident in the post-Second World War
discourses as concern shifted to what Haberas dubbed the scientization of technology,
Analysis: This piece offers in depth explanation to the changes on society due to technological
advancement and the effect of these changes. This piece is definitely an interesting piece because
it focuses a lot on the social development side of technology and its effect on society. This piece
is good for my inquiry question because it hits on two points that I have to address in my inquiry.
This piece is recommended for anyone who is reading up on technology or social development
revolved around technology. The writing is a bit difficult to follow die to many technical words,
but a dictionary or google should help anyone who is interested in this piece.
