war was new to everyone in the battle. This website
goes into detail about the type of weaponry used
during battles in the civil war. The new guns were
causing more and more deaths of American soldiers

telegraph and the railroad allowed word to travel
faster than ever. This proved to be a integral part the
unions strategy.

areas of the Confederacy that had already come
under Union control.
