appearing professional.

Staff at the physical therapist clinic should wear a clean neat pair of neutral colored
slacks or khaki pants with a dress shirt. Fridays are casual day for the clinic and the
staff is allowed to wear denim jeans, as long as jeans are not torn.
19

Shirts
Proper attire for the physical therapy clinic are polo shirts, button up shirt, or blouse.
Shirts should be loose enough so that they do not restrict movement. Tops may not be
revealing or have any other logos other than Uintah Physical Therapy logos.

Shoes
Clean sneakers or dress shoes are appropriate for the physical therapy clinic. Shoe must be
closed toed. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Cleanliness
Hair must be clean, neat, and pulled back for safety. No long dangling jewelry. Clothes must be
clean and ironed.

Funding
A wealthy retired physical therapist named, Robert Brickwell, willed the Uintah hospital
$600,000 to get the Uintah Physical Therapy Clinic up and running. Robert Brickwell
grew up in the Uintah community and moved to Texas to become a Physical Therapist.
When he retired he moved back to Uintah. He loved his job and the Uintah community
so much when he passed away he wanted all of his money to go in creating a physical
therapy clinic.

Quality Assurance
The Uintah Physical Therapy wants quality assurance and department performance
improvement to be incorporated in daily practice. As part of professionalism all staff
members must make quality assurance an essential part of their job. To help improve
and evaluate performance of personnel and services provided by Uintah Physical
Therapy Their will be given out two surveys. One survey to evaluate the staff and how
the patient felt like they were treated. The second survey will evaluate the quality of
therapy services. There will be a mandatory staff meeting quarterly. In the staff
meeting the staff will look over the surveys and determine needs and state objectives.
With the data that was collected, the staff will assess what needs to be changed and
determine what action needs to take place to improve care or correct a problem. In the
meetings there will also be a follow-up on whether the problem was addressed and
corrected.
