Dear Connie,
Thank you for another enjoyable and exciting semester. I feel like I was able to apply
different writing skills I acquired last semester into assignments during this semester. This
semester was like sharpening the saw, so to speak, because I had gained the needed skill to be
successful as a writer and applying them this semester helped me to better these skills and
myself. Between day book entries, blog, and portfolio I felt like I definitely became comfortable
with writing analysis. I enjoyed the projects you had use do this semester and I found myself
putting more thought, time, and effort into them compared to last semester. I feel like this is a
result of me acclimating better to being a college student and realizing the significance of why I
was performing these assignments. I loved doing the line of inquiry project because it related to
my major and an itch I have had to learn more about wind energy. My line of inquiry was
about wind energy but most importantly how effective it could be, how it affects society, and
how the government is adjusting with the rapid progression of wind energy technology.
This semester I am more knowledgeable with how to use Weebly and because of this I
have spent more time personalizing my web page and blog. My line of inquiry and my portfolio
really represent who I am and my personality. When you open my webpage you will
immediately addressed with what my line of inquiry is on, wind energy, and a phrase that motto.
Below this is a dashing picture of me dressed to impress for a formal to signify me as a clean cut,

presentable figure. The next thing that will catch your eye is my introduction that expresses how
I chose my line of inquiry and how it relates to me personally. To advance deeper within my web
page you will scroll back to the top banner to then navigate to the rest of my webpage and will
repeat this process to move through my portfolio. The next place you will move to within my
portfolio will be the page that contains my blog.
Blogging was a new activity to me but I felt like it portrays the research I performed
more sufficiently than just a normal research paper. I say this because I feel like the reader, you,
can relate to the research performed on a hands on level. After clicking on the link to my blog
you can see the different articles that I read and things such as how I summarized them, how I
analyzed them, and how it furthered my knowledge of my line of inquiry. You have previously
evaluated these posts before now but a big thing I would like you to notice is how I relate to
these article and the actions I took for the pictures I used to correlate to these articles. To most
this is a silly thing to realize but throughout this semester I have been trying to relate everything
that I can to tangible/realistic scenarios, events, and concepts. This is just another way I was able
to put a small part of myself into my work performed during this semester. After evaluating my
blog you will then move to the beast, critical thinking, that will give you insight about where my
thoughts were within your class.
My critical thinking consists on day book entries that I feel like focused on the same
concept that this semester concentrated on which is analysis. These day book entries where my
favorites and those which I put a lot of thought and effort into. I also included the analysis of the
two articles that we had to do which was not very well written before you gave me some well
needed feedback. This version has been revised for grammatical errors and more efficient
references have been added as noted needed to be done within your feedback. I feel like all of

my day book entries are centered around the critical thinking concentration but one that stands
out to me is the fourth one down labeled, 2-1-15. This is a prime example of both my mind set
within the beginning of the inquiry project and how it evolved into my true line of inquiry. A
concept that all my day book entries that are listed under the critical thinking tab all express the
desire I have to make my opinion heard and to make a difference. You gave me free rein to feed
this desire within the next tab as it contains my multi genre project.
The next tab within my portfolio is my multi genre project where I was like a child in a
candy shop not knowing what to do with the power of creativity you gave me. I was not able to
import my multi genre project as documents that you can scroll through due to the contrast
within file types and that when I did import them in tests the did indeed appear but the format
and legibility was that of stirring alphabet spaghettios. My focus of this project was originality,
creativity, and to keep it realistic in the sense that someone could easily encounter at some point
during time. I feel like I met these three requirements I set for myself because my genres
consisted of a resume, postcard, energy conference and a letter on concern from a town to a
mayor to name a few. I take pride in all of my genre works but the one I personally like to best is
the postcard that I constructed due to the fact that it is a spin off a real post card I sent home from
Costa Rica. By the way those pictures I used within the post card I took my self on my iphone to
confirm originality. In my opinion this was a great project to wrap up our line of inquiry projects.
Speaking of wrapping up, I would like to thank you again for another great semester and
for the knowledge you have bestowed upon me. I feel like I can walk away with a lot of which I
can carry with me throughout my academic career. As of midterms we discussed that, within the
class, I was between the standings of a B+ and an A-. I hope that after analyzing my portfolio

you would feel compelled to see my progress closer to an A within your course. I thank you for
the time and hope you have a wonderful summer.

Sincerely,
