Mens Team Report


HERTFORDSHIRE v MONT & RADNOR

25th-26th APRIL 2015

After a great result in our last game against top of the table Humberside we hoped to continue
this time against second from bottom Montgomery & Radnor.
On Saturday the Ladies won their game 5-1 a great start..
On first was Paul Oliver although having his best game for the county he still ending up losing 1-3.
Jonathan Creed followed had a another excellent 3-2 win to continue his success for the county this
season.
John Creed did not play as he had done in his last two games before losing 2-3.
Eron Walkes followed by winning his first ever county game 3-0 a thoroughly deserved win.
Graham Munt played well but just lost out 2-3.
Lee White a disaster in darts at the moment did not score well enough losing 0-3.
Gary Ewington lost 1-3 scored well but the end product was not there.
On next was Paul Stern stuck to the task well to come out winning 3-2.
Alan Weist was next another who had his best ever game for the county winning 3-1 with a 24.76
average which was enough to win the match award.
Wayne Stubbings had a another good game not as good as last month but a good 3-2 win none the least.
14 year old Jarred Cole made his county debut had a brilliant first game his scoring was very good hitting
seven tons in a 0-3 defeat to a very experienced opponent.
.On last was the experienced Peter Brown losing the first leg he came back strongly to win 3-1.
Ended with a 6-6 draw for the Mens Team..
On Sunday the Ladies drew their game 3-3.
On first Martin Kingsley started badly losing the first leg but played like he can to win 4-1.
Andreas Hajimina followed with another excellent 4-1 win
John Blair was next played well although losing 0-4 to our opponents star player.
David Pinnuck started well winning the first two legs but then could not keep the momentum going to
lose 2-4.

Tony Hammond was not really in the game although he won second leg before losing 1-4.
Wayne Stubbings was promoted into the team because of the non arrival of a player playing well to lead
2-1 but he then seemed to lack concentration in his first A game losing 2-4.
Adam Pinnuck had a much better game than of late a 15 dart final leg gave him a very good 4-3 win
which enabled him to win the match award with a 25.53 average..
Tony Cox followed leading by 3 -2 although he then had two 15 dart legs it did not stop him from losing
3-4 a little unlucky.
Daniel Varney was next had another very good steady game by winning 4-0.
Jason Neville lost the first two legs won the next was then 1-3 behind but won the next two legs with a
110 finish in the sixth leg to level at 3-3 however his opponent outscored him in the final leg ending with a 3-4
defeat plus losing his unbeaten record for the season.
Robin Wigg was next playing much better in this game to give himself a 4-1 win.

Tony Tarry on last led 2-1 but his opponent levelled at 2-2 but two further wins in the 5 & 6 legs

including a 102 finish in the 5 gave him a 4-2 win.
Ended with a 6- draw for the Mens Team.
A very good effort once again from the Mens teams a good fight back from the A team to keep their
unbeaten record for the season with one game to play.
