Provide a full range of system administration support across all platforms and operating
systems. This support includes user account management, printer support, installation of
servers and desktops, & OS installations and upgrades. The current services and tasks
include but are not limited to the following:












Solaris, Red Hat, Network Appliance & Microsoft Active Directory support
Installs and configures servers, workstations, and storage appliances
Installs and configures network hardware such as printers, routers and switches
Evaluates and implements security measures to assure compliance with
government requirements
Research, design and installation of new software products or technologies based
on project requirements.
Install and maintain software tools
Maintain and troubleshoot existing hardware and software
Act as the primary liaison to users to help resolve issues and engineer solutions to
evolving requirements
Develop shell scripts to automate redundant tasks
Implement and maintain current patch levels on unix systems
Perform and/or review file backups
Audit computer/network logs to check for suspicious activities or errors
Configure and maintain KG-175 encryption devices

Provide centralized, tier II problem resolution for all midrange production system
software problems, application documentation development and review, and system
configuration support. Software skills include, Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Veritas Cluster
Server, Sun Clustering, HP Service Guard, Solaris Volume Manager, Veritas Volume
Manager, EMC PowerPath, TNG, E-Trust.
