This website talks about sleep disorders and problems that arise from the lack of sleep. It
allows insight on sleep disorders and how sleep affects the body and the mind. The
website has an abundance of information on sleep and what sleep is. This website is an
academic website that help people with sleep problems find answers. This website it a
very good website in regards to my research because it has scientific examples and
experimental data that backs up what it claims in the article. The website lies more on the
pros of sleeping and how no sleep can harm the body. Since it is an academic website, it
does showcase the opposing side of the argument through facts and data. This website is
an association affiliated website and thus it has funding to allow concrete facts and data.
This website was very helpful in my research because I was able to see both sides of my
argument on one website. I found out a lot about different sleep disorders that relates to
lack of sleep and how they affect the human body. This website is very good with
abundance of information for my topic. It allows me insight on the topic and not much on
biased information. This website will be cited in my research because it gave me a lot of
information on background and how important sleep really is.

Alhola, Paula, and Pivi Polo-Kantola. Sleep Deprivation: Impact on Cognitive Performance.

This academic article was released on the US National Library of Medicine National
Institutes of Health. It is a very reliable source because it is found in the library that has

good credentials. This article talks about how sleep deprivation can affect the human
mind and the way we think. It talks about how sleep deprivation can lower a persons
cognitive performance and how it interferes with a persons simple tasks. It deteriorates a
persons mind and may even leave permanent results. This article is pro my topic because
it talks about how sleep deprivation is a negative thing. This article has many different
sources within the article that are all cited experimental data that backs up the research.
This compared to the other citations is very useful because it gives insight on sleep
deprivation on its own and only focuses on that single topic. The purpose of the article is
to show the audiences how sleep deprivation can cause harm to the human mind. This
article is very useful on how concrete the information provided was as well as how the
article achieved its true purpose. This article strengthened my interest and belief of my
topic. After looking at the facts it provided, it was certain that sleep deprivation is a
harmful thing and something that should be. This article will be in my research paper
because of how concise the work is and how they provided many useful information and
data. It is pro my topic and will help strengthen my questions.

De Gennaro, Luigi. "Behavioural Brain Research." E-Journals A-Z - J. Murrey Atkins Library UNC Charlotte. N.p., 15 June 2009. Web. 09 Mar. 2015.
This article talks about how dreams can be affected with sleep and lack of it. It talks
about how when a person is sleep deprived that are less likely to recall any dreams and
over time may not even be able to recall at all. This article is written for the experiment
that went along with the work. It talks about how sleep in an important thing and how
dreams correlate to the human mind and its ability to gather information. Without sleep,

the mind is not able to comprehend and translate the dreams into something that we
visualize. Dreams are the minds way of subconsciously telling us something and without
a proper nights rest, we are not able to function properly. This article was very helpful
because it talks about actual experiments that helped the audience see how sleep affects
the dreaming process and the ability to recall dreams. This article is very useful for my
topic and research paper because it is pro for my topic. It allows me to understand dreams
and how sleep deprivation can affect the way we dream and what we remember. This
article helped me see that sleep deprivation can affect a lot in the human mind, even to
the way we dream. It gave me insight on what dreaming is and how dreaming is
important. This article will be used in my paper because I was able to gather many
different information and key points from the article. It will help back up my questions
and concerns of sleep deprivation. Comparing it to other sources, it is very good at
describing sleep. It goes in depth of how dreaming and sleep deprivation correlates. In
my topic, I will mention dreaming and how sleep deprivation affects dreams and this
source allows me to gather a lot of information.

"Oversleeping Side Effects: Is Too Much Sleep Harmful?" WebMD. WebMD, n.d. Web. 07

This website talks about how oversleeping is a bad thing. This topic is con my topic. It
talks about how too much sleeping can cause health issues. This website talks about how
sleeping too much can cause obesity, depression, diabetes, and even early deaths. This is
a very useful website in regards of the opposing side of my topic. I mentioned that sleep

This is a very good website to use for my topic because it has many different ideas and
information on too much sleep and how the human body and mind is affected by it. The
purpose of this article on the website is to inform people on the affects of too much sleep.
This source is not as strong as my other sources because it is on the opposing side of my
argument. It will however allow me to have counterarguments for my research. This
website page did not change my view of sleep deprivation. It did, however, strengthen my
interest on sleep and how important sleep really is to the human body and mind. This
source will be used in my research to counter argue my points to strength the view of
sleep and how important sleep really is.
