Develop a guidance plan based on campus

Counsel students individually and in groups
Respond to student needs in crisis situations
Orient students to new school settings

The mission of the Dobson High Counseling


Department is to provide a comprehensive
program that meets the needs of each student
in academics, career, and personal/social
development. Counselors are student
advocates who provide support during a
students high school career. Support offered
helps to maximize a students potential and
personal growth. Partnering with other
educators, family members, and the
community school counselors utilize the
support system to ensure all students develop
the knowledge and skills necessary to
function in our changing society.

Children experience greater academic achievement


when parents are involved in their education.
