Post Daily Attendance

Teachers will post attendance
online, through the gradebook,
every day (elementary) or
every period (secondary).
There is a cutoff time for
attendance in which teachers
will not have access to edit the
days attendance (4 p.m.).
4

Post Daily Attendance

Secondary teachers, posting
attendance at the beginning of
each period lets all stakeholders
know where a student is or is
not.
Always edit and re-save your
attendance should a student
enter the class tardy, rather
than absent.
5

Post Daily Attendance

A teacher may begin from the home page.

Additionally, a teacher
may access
attendance options
from the main screen
of the gradebook.
6

Post Daily Attendance

There are two options for posting
attendance:

By Seating Chart

Notes on Attendance
The front office will handle the notation
of excused/unexcused absences.
Remember, just because attendance
has been saved, a teacher may edit
their attendance up until the cutoff
time.
Posting attendance earlier rather than
later benefits all connected to the
system.

Assignments Establishing
the score method/categories

done at the start of every yearlong or semester-long course is
to establish the score method
of each gradebook.
The score method directs how
the gradebook calculates
grades.
11

Score Method
Beginning on the main
screen of the gradebook,
click on the Categories
menu tab.

Click the Change Score Method button.

12

Score Method

There are two ways to calculate grades:

By total points 1400/1500 = 93%
By weighting categories within the gradebook Homework = 20%, Test =
50%, Classwork = 30% (The sum of all categories being 100%)
It is advised that if you wish to use weighted categories, you choose to Base grades on
percents assigned to categories by Grade Period in case you need to make course
corrections in current and future grade periods.
