Coach probation students to identify challenge areas and develop academic improvement plans for

Use Datatel and Starfish databases to track students academic progress and issues of concern.
Train and supervise 10 New Student Mentors who advise Albers freshmen on the college transition.
Supervise the New Student Mentors quarterly events, including budgeting, marketing, and
programming that connects freshmen with resources for social, academic, and career success.
Lead and develop weekly meetings for the New Student Mentors, and arrange guest speakers from
campus departments to speak about pertinent information and resources on campus.
Collaborate with the Albers advising team to interview and hire the New Student Mentors.
Organize the Albers mentorship program, which includes pairing 800 upperclassmen with faculty
mentors and planning the Profs and Pizza event that kicks off the program.
Assist with study abroad course evaluations, transfer course evaluations, closed class forms, and
review graduation applications when needed.
Remain up-to-date on campus policies and procedures.
Conduct two transfer orientation sessions to acclimate new students to Seattle University, and
provide students with beneficial information about the Albers School of Business & Economics.

Intern, Academic Advising and First Year Experience

Academic Advising, Bellevue College | Bellevue, WA

Identify and learn best practices for advising and educational planning at the community college
level.
Assess online Bellevue Academic and Registration Kickoff (BARK) presentation for accessibility
issues, provide suggestions for improvement, and create an ADA accessible online BARK
presentation.

Mentored 19 women from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan during their month
long experience in the SUSI Womens Leadership program.

Assisted with research on preventative cognitive techniques for Alzheimers disease at the College
of Speech and Hearing.
Trained a high school assistant on data tabulation and literature search techniques.
Synthesized previous research and information on Alzheimers disease and semantic inhibition
through in depth literature searches.
Cleared EEG data of blinks, and created epoch files, data tabulations, and standard distributions
with clean data.
