WAYSOFTHINKINGCONNECTION

This lesson plan connects to futures thinking because the students are
writing scripts that take place in the future. The students have to think about
the changes and effects of the increasing population in the future. The
students must think about how the resources that are used now and use it to
determine what it would be like in the year 2050 with a population increase.
This lesson plan connects to systems thinking because the students must
think about the process of understanding how things influence one another
within a whole. If the population increases it affects the resources that are
being used. It also affects the economy because more money is being used
to pay for things that people need. It also affects the society because the
population is increase and it starts to get over populated and it can affect the
ways of living. The lesson plan connects to strategic thinking because the
students have to use mental thinking and the thinking process and apply it
to working together to be in the same town and share all the resources as
the population growth has affected the environment, society, and the
economy. This lesson plan also connects to values thinking because the
students are able to examine the effects of the decision of the population
increasing without any thought behind it and seeing how it is being affected
in the resources being used.
