Objective: The objective is to observe the site in detail over the

next month and see changes over time. I will observe how certain
factors affect my site. For example, how many deer footprints and
plant height may be inversely proportional. In the end, I will come
to conclusions on how ecosystems work as a whole, and how
each component of the system affects each other.

Site Description
Observations:
Morning: There was a fresh smell similar to post rain
smell, bird sound and activity was high, sun comes
through trees
Noon: Sun hits directly and hot, animal activity is low,
dry air
Evening: Colder, deer sightings, completely shaded,
animals and insects looking for food

Prediction:
Plant growth will occur, specifically in: moss on logs,
tree, yellow and blue flower, fern, poison oak. Each time
a visit I will measure the height of the same plant from a
species. Also, I will see more animal activity. I will have
to try and take note of animal feces, footprints, and bite
marks in vegetation. I also expect an increase in
temperature as we near summer. With this increase in
temperature, I expect lots more insect, specifically
mosquito, activity. I will observe the increase in insects
swarm sizes.
