Yes I believe it is equitable in its treatment of employees and students, but I also feel there is not much
opportunity to be inequitable. There is not much culture (in terms of race, ethnicity, or family background. I also
feel there is some lack of respect by students for cultures that are not their own.

Yes. While Sandy Valley does not have a great deal of ethnic diversity, the small percentage that it does have is
seamlessly integrated into the school community.
3/13/2015 7:23 AM
yes I do think the equitable because we are all treated equally and not unfairly.

I believe that Sandy Valley strives to be inclusive and equitable. However, there are some cultural limitations
based on the inherent narrow culture of the community.

Yes - Although we are not very diverse, we do not create a hostile environment for minority students. Just
because we do not have an active cultural diversity "outreach" - does not necessitate that we are not equitable.
3/9/2015 9:42 AM
16
Yes, we are as equitable as we can be with the population of minorities that attend our schools.
3/9/2015 9:21 AM
17
Yes because all our programs ect. Are for all students to have a chance to succeed. I do see our district wants all
kids to succed
3/9/2015 9:03 AM
18
Yes, overall, given our student population for this area. We are not a very diverse school, but respect different
cultures and socio-economic situations.
3/9/2015 8:51 AM
19
Yes, Sandy is not hugely diverse but does its best to be equitable.
3/9/2015 8:47 AM

Yes, b/c our state results show that learning is going on and knowing the staff and administration, I can positively
say that they have the students education in their best interests.

Yes, we provide services and support to students from a diverse community. The same support and services are
available to all our students no matter what their race, culture, or socioeconomic background.
3/9/2015 8:43 AM
22
Support staff and certified staff is not diverse. Better advertising about available openings would help, especially
with the support staff.
3/9/2015 8:17 AM

We lack cultural diversity at Sandy Valley. It is difficult to teach it when many of our students don't live it.

It is "equitable". nothing more, nothing less. It is not the peak of academic or any other kind of success, but will be
adequate to slightly above adequate in most areas.
3/9/2015 7:15 AM
25
No. We are a sheltered community that lacks diversity. Our students are locked into this community economically
and rarely have meaningful interaction with other cultures outside of our community.

Yes. I think we are as diverse as can be expected especially when you take into account the demographics of
our community. I do, however, feel that we could go a little further in exposing our kids to different ethnicities and
cultural beliefs.

I believe SV is an equitable district. Regardless of students' cultural, ethnic, or economic backgrounds, our
district treats them equally. All students have the same opportunities and are treated fairly and respectfully.

31
No, there is still too much "good old boy" mentality. This affects how students of different races/ethenticities are
treated by faculty and other students.
3/8/2015 8:50 PM
32
Yes, I believe that every student receives an equitable education as much as possible.
3/8/2015 7:45 PM
33
The population of the district is far from diverse. Students are generally not exposed to other cultures and races
on a daily basis. I'm not sure how to accomplish more contact with diversity. How about "trade" days where
students can go to diversified schools and interact with a variety of cultural backgrounds.
3/8/2015 7:36 PM
