Access to an SMTP mail server within your local network or on the ILLiad Server itself using the
server's IIS SMTP service to allow the ILLiad Client to send emails.
In addition to having the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework installed on your webserver, you will also need to
ensure that IIS is properly set up to use the .NET 2.0 Framework.
On the left pane of IIS under Web Service Extensions (usually on the same level as Web Sites), click on
that and verify that there is an extension for ASP.NET v2.0.50727 and that it is set to Allowed.
For each module using ASP.NET, in IIS verify that when you open the properties for the web folder, under
the ASP.NET tab, the ASP.NET version is set to 2.0.50727.
Security
The minimum permissions required for ASP.NET applications to run require read permissions on all web
files for the Internet Information Services (IIS) IUSR_ComputerName Internet Guest Account and an
ASP.NET ASPNET user account (or NetworkService user account, for IIS 6.0). The accounts will also
need read permissions to the logon.dbc file that was created using the SQL Alias Manager.
In addition, if you need to obtain logs for customer support, you will need to ensure the previous named
accounts have write permissions to the log folder. By default the log folder is set to C:\Program
Files{System Name}\Logs\.
