Aim

Investigation of requirement of nuclear power plant in

terms of capacity sizing, timing and location in Sri
Lanka.

Objectives
To study of pattern and load growth.
To investigate, what options are available?
To study the suitable nuclear power plant type.
To study the suitable nuclear power plant capacity.
To investigate, where is it installed?

Methodology
6.1. Primary data collection
A literature survey is carrying on, finding out documentary information
about the proposed project from manuals, books, journals, conference
proceedings, and reports. Meanwhile personal interviews and
observations will be also made.

6.2. Data analysis procedure

Studies will be carried out for analysis of present generation system,
transmission network, and demand forecasting.
Studied will be carried out for the nuclear power plant types and
technologies.
Find out the unit type and capacity of nuclear power plant for suitable
in to the Sri Lanka network.
Find out what type of area and where that it installed.
Analysis the environmental impact and social impact.
Comparison of economics for coal power and nuclear power.
Analysis of past nuclear accidents.
