The Process Reflection
To start off the year, we read a little piece called Shitty First Drafts. The title pretty much
summed it up. It taught me how my first draft isnt going to be good, in fact, the best authors
first drafts arent good. So it made me feel reassuring about myself in that there wouldnt be any
standards I had to live up to and I could go at my own pace. We also had a few journal entries
that questioned who we were as writers and researchers. It was tough to answer what I thought I
was, because in all honest I had no clue who I was. These journals allowed us to think critically
about all the writing assignments we have done thus far and where we want to be in the future.
The annotated bibliography was difficult in the beginning. I had a tough time collecting sources
and the sources I did find really had no relevance to what I wanted to talk about in my paper.
After bringing in what I had of the annotated bibliography, Professor Intawiwat taught me
another way to get sources called Google Scholar. I came back from that class and after a couple
hours I was completely finished with my annotated bibliography. I used this assignment as a
foundation for my paper and an organizer of my sources and I dont know if I would have been
as successful without it.
