ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the latent heat
of vaporization, Lv, of water experimentally
using Joseph Blacks formulated equation.
Four water samples were prepared. Each
sample was placed in a stove until boiling
and until complete evaporation. The time it
takes to reach each instance was observed
and was denoted as 1 and 2, respectively.
From the data gathered, average Lv, expt is
equal to 2740.65 J/g which deviated by
21.48% from the theoretical value of 2256
J/g.
