March 23, 2012:

Applicant sent out project for early-consultation.

September 17, 2012:

Applicant submits SMA Use Permit Application and Draft


Environmental Assessment (DEA) which is sent to various
agencies for comments.

October 23, 2012:

Maui Planning Commission reviews and provides


comments on DEA.

December 28, 2012:

Maui Island Plan is adopted. Includes Kahoma Village


project.

August 21, 2013:

Final Environmental Assessment accepted and a


Findings of No Significant Impact (FONSI) issued by the
County of Maui Department of Housing and Human
Concerns.

PROJECT TIMELINE

September 8, 2013:

FONSI published in OEQC Environmental Notice, which


initiates 30-day appeal period.

October 7, 2013:

Appeal period ends, no appeals were filed.

January 8, 2014:

County Council Land Use Committee conducts site visit


and meeting on Kahoma Village Project.

February 7, 2014:

County Council adopts Resolution 14-14 and approves


Kahoma Village pursuant to Chapter 201-H, HRS, relating
to Affordable Housing Projects.

March 4, 2014:

Project reviewed by Maui Urban Design Review Board.
