Unit Theme: five paragraph essay


The writing prompt: What is your favorite movie/novel? To recommend the movie/novel to
friends who have not watched/read it, explain why you like it.
Unit Objectives
Students will be able to:
1. Understand the fundamental structure of five paragraph essay.
2. Understand and use APA style.
3. Compose solid thesis statement, topic sentences, and conclusions.
4. Compose paragraphs by using transition words.
