Reflection

As a foreigner, studying bachelor in different country is surly not that easy because we
study it in different language and that what challenges us most of the time. After what I have
been through this semester in the University of North Carolina, I really think that it is so
frustrating because of tremendous amount of stress that come whenever I think about my GPA
grade and the hard finals that are waiting for me. However, all this stress and the negative
feelings have changed my personality to be more responsible, and have more management on my
time. Although, It is right that it is hard to study at UNCC, I am really thankful that I had the
opportunity to be a student here, and one of the things that I am glade that I have been with is the
English UWRT1101 class because this class taught me a lot of stuff that is surly important in an
academic life and even in a daily life.
UWRT1101 class taught how to be a better writer, speaker, and reader. However, the
main reason behind my huge improvement in English is my teacher Mrs. Debarati Dutta who is
always supporting us in our work, and always helping us to face our struggles whither it was in
writing or reading. This teacher works so hard to make sure that we understand everything
without even asking her, and that is why we love her and honor her.

One of the hardest struggles that I faced in English was summarizing and organizing the
main ideas of anything I read. Fortunately, this English class has solved my problem with what
our teacher taught us how to be skilled in summarizing and organizing main Ideas by letting us
try and try without being afraid of failing until we get the skill. I really liked my teachers technic
in teaching us because she made me trust myself again that I can be a good writer.
I am not only thankful for this class just because of what we learned, I am also thankful
for the amazing helpful classmates that I had, who helped me in revising my drafts and always
were there for me. Those guys have helped me to be better communicator they were from all
over their world, so it was nice sharing our cultural beliefs and getting the opportunity to know
more about their societies and countries. Actually, they were not just my classmates; they were
my friends, friends that I am so glad to know them.
At the end, I really recommend all my friends taking tis class because it is not just like
any class, it is fun but at the same time it is so important to improve our academic life and make
it easier to handle if we learned all of the English basic skills. UWRT 1101 class was such a nice
and helpful experience, and I surly think it was an intelligent successful class.
