- GHB is a central nervous system depressant
- Central nervous system depressants are substances that slow down the
brains activity.

- GHB can be taken orally by the mouth and can also be
sniffed up the nose.
5. Describe the drug- what does it look like?
- GHB can be produced as a clear liquid, white powder,
tablets, and capsule forms.
- GHB is colorless and odorless. Identify five interesting
facts/history of this drug:

butyrolactone(GBL), sodium hydroxide or potassium
hydroxide.

manufactured in homes that are made from recipes from online.

8. How does this drug affect the body? In other words, what does it do to you
mentally and physically?
Five mental symptoms- GHB can cause hallucinations
- Difficulty thinking
- Amnesia
- Anxiety
- insomnia
Five physical symptoms- sweating
- loss of muscle control
- difficulty breathing
- headaches
- nausea
9. Is there any therapeutic use for this drug (medical)?
- Yes there is therapeutic use for this drug
- Unfortunately not medical
10. What kind of treatment is available for this drug? Please explain each type of
treatment.
- There are residential services- which is a group are place where you can
get assistance with your addition and problems.
11. Personal and social consequences:
- You can die, get a coma and have seizures. When you become addicted to
drugs you can become distant from the people who you love and care for.
12. If caught with this drug, what consequences would be enforced by the law?
- You can get sentenced to 5-10 years in prison and fined for 150,000
dollars.

13. What are your personal thoughts about this drug?

I think GHB is horrible and that use should not take or use this drug. It is
not good for you and is very harmful to your body.
