Uber History

winter 2008, Garrett Camp and Travis Kalanick got together in to solve the taxi
problem in San Francisco.
spring 2009, UberCab was ready.
2010, they tested the first prototype in New York with just three cars.
July 5th 2010 Uber hit the roads in San Francisco for the first time.
November 2010 Uber expanded the app to android phones.
By the end of 2011 they have raised about $40 million.
July 2012, UberX project was started.
by August 2013, they raised $361.2 million new fundings
$3.7 billion valuation
