Greetings!
I am Karen Tello Martin, 24 years of age, single, female, a graduate of Bachelor of Science
in Nursing at the University of the Cordilleras, Baguio City, Philippines school year 2009. I
am a Registered Nurse, passed the Nurse Licensure Examination in the Philippines on July
2010.
I was hired as a nurse attendant from the Philippines but I would like and really want to apply
as a Staff Nurse in this Institution. I am working as a staff nurse in the OB-Gyne Ward
Section of your respected hospital from May 2013 up to present and I want to continue
performing my management skills, implement nursing care and share my compassion as a
nurse to my patients.
I was a community nurse in the Municipal Health office of the Municipality of Tublay,
Benguet, Philippines for one (1) year serving the Barangays of the entire community. I am
responsible for assessing and evaluating individuals health needs, deliver preventive
programs, ensure continuity of care, focused primarily to children, pregnant women, disabled
patients, elderly people and individuals with chronic diseases. I have been also employed as a
staff nurse in Baguio General Hospital, Baguio City, Philippines, a 350 bed capacity Hospital
for one (1) year. My specialization is in Surgery Department which comprises the
orthopedics, ENT (ears, nose, and throat), Ophthalmology and including the Private Rooms
section. I am responsible for strict documentation, monitoring, caring and observing patients
condition, assisting and evaluating patients health progress as well as checking and
administering drugs and injections.
