Closing Out a Work Order Real-Time Parts

Overview
This guide walks you through the process of closing out a work order requiring an update to the Real-Time
Parts Logistics & Tracking tool.
Read on to learn what to do when:
x Updating existing parts
x Adding a return part shipment
x The client requires an update to Real-Time Parts but you dont have any parts

Updating Real-Time Parts

If the client requires you to update parts usage information in the Real-Time Parts tool, click on Parts Usage for
each part:

Next, indicate whether the part was used.
a. If you DID use the part, but there is a Core Return, enter the tracking # and any relevant notes regarding
shipment back to the depot.

If you did NOT use the part, select a Reason Code and, if it is to be returned, enter an RMA # and tracking
# for return shipment.

After saving your Parts Usage information, the Usage column will update to show current status:

Adding a Part to Real-Time Parts

To add a part to the Real-Time Parts Logistics & Tracking tool, click the Add part bar, enter the SKU and
Part Name and save. If you have a return tracking #, Do NOT enter it here.

Next, click on Part Usage for the part you just added and enter usage information, including a tracking #
for return shipments, if applicable.

HELP! The client requires an update but I dont have any parts!
1.

If the client REQUIRES that you update Real-Time Parts but you didnt use any parts while on-site and have
nothing to ship back:
a. Add a part by clicking the Add part bar, then enter No Part in the Part Name field and save.

Next, click on Part Usage for the part you just added and select Part Used = No.
