Hungarian Inventions

Dynamo
Dynamo: What is it?
 The Dynamo was invented in
1861, by Ányos Jedlik.
It is a electric generator that
transforms kinetic energy in
to electric energy.
It’s formed by a magnet and
a coil, and those
components make the
dynamo create a direct
current.
It is normally used in the
bicycle or small vehicles
with wheels.
How does it work?
Importance to the World
The Dynamo was the first electrical generator able
to deliver power for industry.
It produces electric energy using kinetic energy.
It provides electric energy for a really low price for
using in small electric objects (example: Light bulb).
The normal use of the Dynamo is in a bicycle, when
it transforms the movement of the wheel into energy
to power a light bulb.

It was a really good way to the development of

the renewable energy.
The Now and the Future…
 Is it still important today?
Yes, because it is very useful in energy field
and it’s an open door for the renewable
energy.
It’s also very useful for countries where it’s
very normal to ride a bike for providing a
power skill to small electric objects.
How long is it still be useful?
It is very useful since 1861 and it will be useful
for many coming years because it hasn’t
been totally developed.
What will replace it in the future?
We have some ideas for it…
 It might be never replaced
because we are entering in
the renewable energy era
and also because it’s such
as good invention that
might support all the electric
objects.
 Although it can also be
replaced by something that
has better and efficient way
to produce electric energy.
