Jesus%went%to%a%desert%place%near%a%city%
called%Bethsaida.%
He%was%closely%followed%by%his%disciples.%
When%the%people%heard%where%Jesus%had%
gone%they%followed%him%there.%
As%the%day%began%to%turn%into%night,%the%
disciples%came%to%Jesus.%They%suggested%
that%he%send%the%people%away%to%nearby%
towns%so%that%they%could%rest%and%be%fed.%
Jesus%replied%Let%the%people%stay.%We%will%
feed%them.%The%disciples%said%to%Jesus%All%
we%have%is%five%loaves%of%bread%and%two%
fish%to%feed%five%thousand%men!%Jesus%told%
the%disciples%to%bring%the%food%to%him%and%
to%ask%the%crowds%to%sit%in%groups%of%fifty%
people.%
Jesus%took%the%food,%held%it%up%to%the%
heavens,%blessed%it%and%broke%it.%
He%then%gave%the%food%to%the%disciples%who%
distributed%it%to%the%crowd.%
When%all%the%people%were%full,%the%left%over%
food%was%collected%into%twelve%baskets.%

would%be%enough%food%to%feed%all%of%
these%people?%
I%wonder%how%you%would%feel%if%you%
were%one%of%the%people%in%the%crowd?%
I%wonder%how%the%people%felt%after%

I%wonder%why%Jesus%asked%the%people%
to%stay%and%fed%them?%
