What is Stress?
Before initiating the research. The thinking process involved searching for a problem affecting people in
general and in different fields, profession or demographics. Stress was identified as an issue that involves
people of all ages, sex, and race. Anxiety is now a big part in everyones life and it has a deep negative
impact that affects the productivity of people. Therefore, the spot light was focused on a major part of
societies as it affects students. Stress can be defined as a state of mental or emotional strain or tension
resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances, Stress is an inside process that happens when an
individual is confronted with a demand that is seen to surpass the resources accessible to react to it
adequately, and where inability to manage the demand successfully has imperative and undesirable
outcomes (Hurd, Monaghan, & Milan, 2007,). Stress is nowadays a term that we all hear and we all deal
with and all of us have some kind of stress going on because life in general has become more and more
demanding and many factors now overlap in our lives as people. Students particularly are considered a
vulnerable part of societies that suffer from major stress and anxiety during their academic life starting as
of sending applications and when attending classes and handling the heavy materials, assignment,
lecturers then moving on to preparing for exams and staying up at night and then the post examination
stress when waiting for grades and not to mention the stress accompanied by life outside the university
specifically when students move out to live on their own. Life outside the university involves finding a
place to live especially when in tight budget, finding new friends meeting new people studies and
personal time away from all those to go out with friends and not to mention the cultural shock when
meeting new cultures from around the world which involves different views and personalities. And one of
the most major stressors for students is the financial support which involves the long process of finding a
job not to mention student loans which are an absolute stressors because students will spend their
academic life and many years of work to re-pay that huge sum of money used for college. These and
many other personal issues which can be personal and involve family, relationships and many other can
be major stressors to students and they have to fully adapt and try to avoid and find ways to decrease or
even eliminate those factors. Stress is not only a mental state but also it has consequences on the physical
state of the body. A closer in depth about stress will be discussed later on to furtherly discuss sources of
stress and who is most affected, and how to eliminate stress.
Students must get high grades and be involved many extracurricular activities, charity and volunteering
which is pretty much the case with all the students applying for college. But for medical students because
of the long studying time which can be up to ten years with residency, the extremely high tuition fees, the
competition amongst candidates and then not to mention the entry exams which are required such as
MCAT exam which will further have a more effect on candidates selection. Thats why medical students
are most focused in this blog. The selection for medical students also happens because in this blog I found
a way to explain some of the difficulties that I will be facing personally as I have chosen to go to medical
school. So this blog is set as a reminder for me that I need to work hard and somewhat to give a
foretelling expectations in the years to come in my path and to share with other readers who most likely
will face similar issues. And therefore this blog could be an answer to my questions and a possibly an
answer and another point of view to solve a problem I might face.
Whether you are a current student or a doctoral graduate, conducting a good research is a vital
part of being an expert researcher with the abilities and validity to impact social change. Luckily,
large portions of the research challenges you will face comes from picking a subject, to finding
study participants, to staying rational all through the process. The research topic is the
establishment on which everything else rests, so its crucial to pick deliberately and wisely.
The very first and most common problem students face when writing a research paper is finding
good articles online so they could base the paper on, this process is the most important part.
Some students profoundly depend on the Internet for sources in light of its comfort. Whether
they are lazy to go to the library or the subject they are searching down has extremely restricted
resources, students swing to the Internet for an option source. Of course, not everything
published online is 100% precise. Before utilizing a site as a source, search for references and
peruse a few related sites and check for consistency. A major problem as well is that students
have problems developing a thesis statement some students discuss a general topic while some
are dealing with something specific For the most part, a thesis tells the reader what the paper is
about. Coherency and consistency is another problem faced by students in writing their research
papers. The volume of information they are receiving from their sources can lead them off topic.
Creating an outline of your main ideas and secondary points can help stay coherent and precise,
finding evidence to back the research paper up is also an issue. On the other hand if the point has
various written works and references, exhibiting proof would not be an issue. This is the
principle point why it is essential to pick a theme that has wide accessible assets and references.
References and following formatting standards are the most difficult piece of composing a
research paper. A lot of students have a tendency to forget citing their sources. This
straightforward demonstration of carelessness has a few genuine results, for example, written
falsification. To avoid such error, write the quotes you choose to use in a paper and rundown the
source immediately. It doesn't hurt to double check your work. Audit and edit your paper before
printing it. Have another person look at the paper. Ask the person to detect the slips and errors
that you have missed. Nevertheless, the key to a successful research paper is organization. Make
Guidelines of what you need to achieve in your research. Outlines also help in keeping you on
track.

This ever going field is marvelous, new discoveries every day, new equipment new drugs and new
diseases and cures being discovered inspired me and made me want to discover something and name it
after me, yes this is a major reason why I want become a doctor and a big researcher to maybe discover
something one day and make a huge impact on humanity. I would love to be famous, and recognized
through these kind of things.
Goals are always achievable no matter how hard they may seem no matter what the goal is, as long as you
aim for it, be determined and work hard you will achieve it. Everyone have their ups and downs
especially me after seeing how much study I should be doing but I know for sure that those obstacles
wont stop me. After all the bad things that happened in Syria my family decided to go back to America
where I was born and raised, I knew that god had set a plan for me so I could achieve that goal here and
follow The Dream; I saw Loyola University and I fell even more in love with medicine the beauty of
the campus, the determination of other medical students even through the hard time and the stress they go
through daily didnt stop them so it wasnt going to stop me. So everything was based on a personal
experience seeing my uncles rise and gain a respected reputation among people, seeing sick people
getting cured with a thank you from the bottom of their heart pulled me into medicine, I dont think I
would ever change this goal and I will make the best out if this opportunity and let everyone who
supported me proud.

Manage one piece at once.
Try not to attempt to handle your subject at the same time. Get a sufficient feeling of the subject

you can.
These tips will help put a respectable catalog and an assortment of notes and information readily
available when you take a seat to review your paper. Albeit assessing sources is likewise a vital
part of doing great exploration, it will need to sit tight for its own post, as its too huge a theme to
decrease to a visual cue here. A bookkeeper or your teacher can help, particularly on the off
chance that you confine yourself to books and diaries accessible in your college library. Web
sources are trickier, as it requires no exertion at all nowadays to set up an expert looking site
saying whatever you need; until you're alright with the material in your picked handle, its best to
stick to known sources like Wikipedia and destinations embraced by your library or division, on
the off chance that you utilize the Internet by any means. Keep in mind, however, that until a
couple of years prior, the majority of us figured out how to do research with no Internet by any
stretch of the imagination and hand written and referencing from books and paper articles not
finding them online in simple clicks.

Research process
Honestly, finding the research was half the battle. It seems so difficult to write a research paper, when all
it is writing one giant literary criticism. Once all of the information was retrieved writing the paper just
came to me. That was my experience writing this research paper. I hated it when I had to go and find the
research because writing such paper isnt about what you really think or know it about what others think
and concluded, but now that I did find sources, its cake. I really think that the whole research process
using different websites and tools was really interesting, I didnt really know at first that you can do so
much. Sorting my sources and my personal ideas using Popplet for example allowed me personally to
really organize my thoughts. Noodle tools was also really helpful with citing the sources and organizing
the notes to get a better formatting for the research paper. Writing notes regularly on noodle tools after
reading the information helped me keep in mind what I want to write in my paper, taking notes through
that process helped me sort and put everything important together. Picking a subject that I felt passionate
about something I enjoy certainly will show in my final product, making it more likely that the paper is
going to be successful hopefully. Quotations really helped me back up my point as well. I wont say that
the overall process was really easy to do with all those websites and new things we had to learn and then
work on and I dont really think that it was an easy process exporting my notes into my research paper
and by that I mean even with my headlinings and my outlines I still had to reframe my paper and work
on formatting it properly with resorting my ideas all again But the pros were way more than the cons and
I enjoyed learning new things, it felt hard at first but it was really manageable and once I had everything
all together the paper really did write itself for me, I enjoyed the learning experience because this was the
first time that I work on a paper using multiple websites and search engines like Ebsco and the COD
library data base, I always used google but now I learned how really a good paper should be written.
