DAP: Synthesis (The Importance of Education: Economic and Social Benefits)
Throughout my synthesis paper (The Importance of Education:
Economic and Social Benefits) strengths and weaknesses are evident. After
carefully going back through the final publish ready version of my paper, I
was able to highlight the strengths and weaknesses. It is imperative for
authors to reflect on previous pieces in order to understand which pieces
deserve praise or additional polishing.
I noticed that the paper featured an extremely formal diction. This
allowed the reader to perceive the writing piece as a research paper that
contained several credible sources. The rhetoric used is heavy charged with
high level vocabulary words. This feature within the synthesis paper allows
the paper to be read as a paper that is of higher level education. The use of
secondary sources give credibility to the author as making valid statements
that are substantiated with evidence from other pieces of work.
The paper, however, contained several weaknesses. There were a
couple of formatting errors within the research paper that deterred from its
credibility. Formatting is extremely important as it is the first impression a
reader perceives from the paper. For future reference, I as the writer will

double check the formatting of a paper to ensure it is properly presented as

per MLA guidelines.
Overall,

the

paper

was

properly

written.

It

contained

several

vocabulary words of high level education, credible sources, and valid points.
The paper, however, can be improved as anything else.
