Grade 2 Weekly Update

This week we.

Next week we will

Math: We continued to study measurement. We

learned how to find area and perimeter and how
to measure to the nearest inch and half inch. We
completed the measurement assessment.
Language: We revised writing persuasive. We
are looking forward to our new language topic
next week.
Unit of Inquiry: We had fun tuning in about our
new unit. We looked at different visual art and
discussed how it makes us feel. We even got to
show off our artistic sides

Math: We will look at symmetry and congruency in

shapes.
Language: We will be looking at a variety of
different poems. We will spend time reading and
analyzing poetry and writing our own!
Unit of Inquiry: We will continue to look at a
variety of visual arts and inquire into the
different perspectives different people can have
on the same piece of work. We will also be looking
at different artists and begin to understand how
different artists use different technique to create
interesting images!

We have postponed the book

swap until May 28th
