Sharing the Planet
This week we tuned into our new unit.
We planted seeds and we are keeping
an observation log to make sure we
see the process of our plants
growing.

Plants sustain life on earth and play a role

in our lives.

Plant care .

How plants contribute to life.

We spent some time looking at the

form of o clock and half hour on an
analogue clock, and we were
introduced to the quarter dollar.

Next week we will be finding out more in our

Unit of Inquiry. We will be conducting an
experiment into what plants need to grow as
well as continuing to take care of our own
plants. Some classes will be visiting a garden
centre!
We will be learning about alternative /ee/
sounds in phonics and reading non-fiction
texts about plants in guided reading.

In Maths we will be practicing counting in 10s

and ones and learning how to use a function
machine. Please ask your class teacher if you
would like more information.
